What happens when I book ?
- To start select Stewardess training package.
- Once you book with the first payment you get log in details with instant access to your online dashboard with flexible 24/7 access anywhere, anytime.
- We will add you to the online support group with the other crew for your training date in Croatia.
- We start on your online certification, modules and CV.
- You attend the training week in Split, Croatia with accommodation to get fully certified and we start the job search process.
Can I use a payment plan ?
Yes you can use a split payment plan. Apply the code “paylater50” at checkout.
- Pay 50% as a deposit on the first payment to secure and guarantee your date.
- Get instant access to full unlimited training package with log ins.
- Pay the rest at your training month before the start of the training week.
When using a discount code, you can use one in addition to the payment plan. The discount is applicable on the first payment only. The second payment is always due at the training week and in the full amount of 50% of the price.

Can I get a refund ?
When using a payment plan, you can change the date to a different date and not be charged until training. You will only be charged the initial deposit. Because of high demand for courses this is deposit is not refundable.
- However we understand plans can change, if you need to cancel you do not need to pay the remaining amount.
- Your booking is flexible and if you want to change the training date you can do so free of charge to any date in the future with no additional fee if you let us know 4 weeks in advance.
Once starting STCW Basic Safety Training and/or after the training week is completed no refund is possible.
When do I complete the training ?
- The start of the training is through your online dashboard.
- You have lifetime access and can complete the courses before, during or after the in-person training week.
- The STCW week is in Croatia, Split. One of the Yachting hubs of the Mediterranean.

Yacht Stewardess Familarisation Training day
During your training week we do a familiarisation of duties and products and skills you should know in your first Stewardess role. It is on board a 15m Yacht where we go through the Stewardess duties and skills.
Where is the STCW training week ?
- The in-person training week is in Split, Croatia. The address is: 114.Brigade 10, 21000, Split, Croatia.
- We recommend booking accommodation 7 nights to start with and keep it flexible. Often crew decide to share an Airbnb/move closer to the beaches after the first 7 days of STCW-training.
- When booking you will get a day by day schedule specifically for your week with all training locations.
Are the courses MCA Accepted in English ?
All STCW and ISPS Courses are internationally accepted as per STCW standards and MCA-Accepted.
All training courses are in English only and the our crew and students are a very international mix. The training and certifications makes you legally qualified to work as a Stewardess on Yachts worldwide.
How do I find a Yacht Stewardess job ?
Will YachtieCareers help me find a Stewardess job ?
- We can not guarantee a job and the average time is 6 weeks although some crew find jobs faster. We give you everything to succeed in the job search, with CV-writing, Yacht Reference letter and job support in form of job search seminars. and dock walking seminars. We also use free recruitment services for other yachts to get you more opportunities to start.
- As we are not the employer we can not guarantee a job. The Captain or Yacht Manager has the final decision to employ you on board, while we can assist preparing for interviews and signing contracts.
Step 1. When you book you get life-time access to training and Certificates. Flexible online. Complete certificates before stepping on board.
Step 2. We start writing your Stewardess CV and start the job search.
Step 3. You get added to our crew community and WhatsApp groups with 24/7 access so we can guide you together to your first job with the other crew.
Step 4. STCW in person 10 days training and crew accommodation in Split, Croatia. Get your ENG1 + your new CV photo and final CV.
Step 5. In our job search seminar sessions – We start the job search and applications to yachts, agencies together with the other crew. After the training week start day work and dock walking together with other crew from the class and community of past crew.
The best places for daywork are Croatia, Antibes, Palma and Florida. But depending on the season we will help you with the best option. When you daywork you earn 100€-150€/day
Step 6. Land first Stewardess job. We set up your yacht bank account and we assist with signing your first contract, update your CV and continue helping you progress in your career.

Do I need a visa to work as a Yacht Stewardess ?
- There is no visa requirement specifically to work on Yachts.
- To work in US/Caribbean Yachts require a B1/B2 visa which we can help with.
- Depending on your passport/nationality, we give you personal support and assist for your job role.
Can I work with tattoos/ minimum age ?
- In 2025 most yachts will accept crew with Tattoos. Several in the Yachtiecareers team have tattoos and so do succesful past students. For certain positions a Yacht will have a specific no-tattoo requirement.
- The minimum age to apply is 16 years old. And we have many crew that are 35-40+ years old.
How much is a Yacht Stewardess salary ?
- An average Yacht Crew Salary is 5000€ depending on yacht size and position.
- An average Junior Deckhand salary is 2300€-3300€. With experience and qualifications you can progress to Bosun, Officer and Captain on board.
- A Junior Stewardess salary starts from 2300-3300€ and with experience and training it is possible to progress to a Chief Stewardess role.
- Most yachts also have bonuses or very lucrative tips from charters.
Can I work as both a Deckhand and Stewardess ?
- With Yachtiecareers you can get both Deckhand and Stewardess Training included for the price of one.
