Follow crew and students from Yachtiecareers — their STCW training experience and life on board their first yacht jobs as Deckhands and Stewardesses. Students and crew come from US, UK , Europe as well as Australia and other parts of the world. Some have hospitality, academic or cruise ship backgrounds, but most have no maritime background at all. It is an all inclusive training with no prior experience required. Most were career changers, recent graduates, or people who had simply decided they wanted a different life working on board Yachts. Three students from the same STCW YachtieCareers Training Week — All Now Working as Superyacht Crew

- They all met at the training week in Split — and ended up on the same Superyacht a year later. This is how the crew networking and community works for our students.
Gabi (Deckhand, Brazil) and Tereza (Stewardess, Czech Republic) were looking for work together as a couple. Tabitha (UK) (Deck/Stew) had decided she wanted a life travelling. They all ended up at the same YachtieCareers training week in Split — completed their MCA Accepted STCW Basic Safety Training together, got their MCA Accepted Medical (ENG1 equivalent) at the same time, and had their CVs built by the team in the same week.
After training, all three dock walked in Palma de Mallorca with their CVs. Gabi and Tereza landed a position crossing to the Caribbean for the winter season — with their B1/B2 visas arranged through the YachtieCareers support letters. Gabi progressed from deckhand to chase boat Captain. Tereza worked as stewardess on the same Superyacht. Meanwhile Tabitha did her first winter season in Portugal.
The following season, the network they built during training week paid off. All three found positions together on the same superyacht — Gabi as Deckhand, Tereza as stewardess, Tabitha as stewardess. Three people from three countries who met at a training week in Split, Croatia, now working together on the same 50 meter Superyacht in Europe for the Mediterranean season.
MCA Accepted STCW Basic Safety Training and MCA Accepted Medical (ENG1 equivalent) open doors at any time of year together with Food Hygiene Level 2, PDSD , Crowd Management and a great CV. After training in Split, all three dock walked in Palma de Mallorca with their CVs. Tabitha landed a winter position in Portugal within days. Gabi and Tereza took a Caribbean crossing — working the winter season in Antigua. Our crew works worldwide. The following Mediterranean season, all three came together on the same superyacht — winter jobs in Portugal and the Caribbean, then the full Med season together. Same certificates, recognised worldwide.
