Students and crew come from US, UK , Europe as well as Australia and other parts of the world. Some have hospitality, academic or cruise ship backgrounds, but most have no maritime background at all. It is an all inclusive training with no prior experience required. Most were career changers, recent graduates, or people who had simply decided they wanted a different life working on board Yachts. Tabitha · United Kingdom · Stewardess + Deckhand Package

STCW, ENG1, CV writing — first job in 10 days

Tabitha came to Split from the UK with no yachting background. In one week she completed STCW Basic Safety (MCA Accepted), her ENG1 medical, and had her CV written by the team. After dock walking in Palma de Mallorca with support from Drazen, she landed her first superyacht job in 10 days.

She trained alongside Tereza (Czech Republic) and Gabi (Portugal). All three are now working as superyacht crew — Gabi started as deckhand and became tender captain, Tereza as stewardess on the same yacht, Tabitha as stewardess on another superyacht.

Three students from the same STCW YachtieCareers Training Week — All Now Working as Superyacht Crew

• Gabi and Tereza came as a couple to start as Deckhand and Stewardess.
• Tabitha from the UK came alone.
• They all met at the training week in Split — and ended up on the same Superyacht a year later. This is how the crew networking and community works for our students.

Gabi (Deckhand, Brazil) and Tereza (Stewardess, Czech Republic) were looking for work together as a couple. Tabitha (UK) (Deck/Stew) had decided she wanted a life travelling. They all ended up at the same YachtieCareers training week in Split — completed their MCA Accepted STCW Basic Safety Training together, got their MCA Accepted Medical (ENG1 equivalent) at the same time, and had their CVs built by the team in the same week.

After training, all three dock walked in Palma de Mallorca with their CVs. Gabi and Tereza landed a position crossing to the Caribbean for the winter season — with their B1/B2 visas arranged through the YachtieCareers support letters. Gabi progressed from deckhand to chase boat Captain. Tereza worked as stewardess on the same Superyacht. Meanwhile Tabitha did her first winter season in Portugal.

The following season, the network they built during training week paid off. All three found positions together on the same superyacht — Gabi as Deckhand, Tereza as stewardess, Tabitha as stewardess. Three people from three countries who met at a training week in Split, Croatia, now working together on the same 50 meter Superyacht in Europe for the Mediterranean season.

MCA Accepted STCW Basic Safety Training and MCA Accepted Medical (ENG1 equivalent) open doors at any time of year together with Food Hygiene Level 2, PDSD , Crowd Management and a great CV. After training in Split, all three dock walked in Palma de Mallorca with their CVs. Tabitha landed a winter position in Portugal within days. Gabi and Tereza took a Caribbean crossing — working the winter season in Antigua. Our crew works worldwide. The following Mediterranean season, all three came together on the same superyacht — winter jobs in Portugal and the Caribbean, then the full Med season together. Same certificates, recognised worldwide.

STCW, ENG1, CV writing — job offer in one week in Palma

Gabi and Tereza came to Split as a couple with one goal — work on the same yacht together. They completed STCW Basic Safety (MCA Accepted), ENG1 medical, and had their CVs built by the team. Then flew to Palma to dock walk. One week in Palma they had a delivery crossing job — Palma to the Caribbean, both of them, same boat. During the crossing they received another offer. They are now working permanently together on a yacht in the Bahamas.

Gabi progressed from deckhand to tender captain. Tereza works as stewardess on the same yacht. The following Mediterranean season all three — Gabi, Tereza and Tabitha — found positions together on the same superyacht.

CV built during STCW training — first job after dock walking in France

Brooklyn came to Split from Austria with no prior yachting experience and chose the Premium Package. Ivana and Antonija built her CV during the training week and prepared her for exactly what captains and agencies look for on a first-season CV. After training, Brooklyn dock walked and day worked in France — and landed her first yacht job there.

The 1-1 CV session, the reference letter, and the one-year unlimited support after training are what Brooklyn points to as the difference between a training programme and a genuine career launch.
